What a night! The inaugural Engineers v Lawyers debate was a huge success, and you can now enjoy the highlights reel.
We are super excited to share this video wrap-up of the night and confirm that we’re hoping to make this an annual event!
If you missed the story, we decided to pit some of Brisbane’s brightest engineers and construction lawyers against each other for a mock debate on the hot topic of AI.
On this occasion, Team Engineers were declared the winners (by a virtual crowd poll), convincing guests that AI was not fundamental to project success.
Thanks again to everyone who came along, and especially to our friends at Helix Legal, Engineers Australia’s College of Leadership & Management QLD, host extraordinaire Andrew Chapman from Queensland Major Contractors Association, and The Brisbane Club.
Of course the event was only made possible by the special efforts of our debating teams so hats off to Team Engineers – Sarah Parrish from IPS, Amy Wood from Jacobs and Daniel Field from The Stratoship Group – and Team Lawyers – Janelle Kerrisk, Emily Taylor and Jonathan Miliszewski from Helix Legal.
